2009 Information and Action on Memorial Field Project
A summary of actions taken in 2009:
June 2, 2009 - As part of the District Wide Facilities Master Plan process a community meeting was held June 2 to present the recommendations of the Steering Committee and to get input on other areas including Memorial Field, Central Office and Delta. A Special Board Meeting will be held June 23, 7:30 pm to present the District Wide Facilities Master Plan for adoption, using the Ed Specs as a guide.
June 23, 2009, The board approved the District Wide Facilities Master Plan.
August 24, 2009 board meeting, Ron Pavlechko and Ed Poprik reviewed information detailing items and concerns regarding Memorial Field specifically regarding the ongoing concerns related to the structural integrity of the west retaining wall. The attached memo outlines two approaches, associated costs and seating capacities as well as pros and cons.
November 9, 2009 - Based on direction from the Board an RFQ was distributed to 58 vendors; the list is attached. The RFQ is due back to the district on November 13, 2009. A potential timeline for the selection process would be as follows:
November 13, 2009 – Receive RFQ’s
December 21, 2009 - Recommend Short-List to Board
December 22, 2009 - Issue RFP
January 15, 2010 - Receive RFP
January 18-22, 2010 – Interview finalists
February 8, 2010 - Appoint Final Selection
