Physical Plant Project

At an estimated cost of approximately $5 million, the district is planning to build a new facilities building for the Physical Plant office on the high school’s north campus next to Community Field. The office’s current Fairmount Building location lacks sufficient space and features due to age and condition, and would be challenging to renovate.

The new building will provide:

• Adequate office spaces for the Physical Plant staff 

• Shop space for various trades

• Storage space for SCASD athletics and the district in general

• Energy savings by conforming to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver guidelines
