Renovations Project

In 2022, the Board of Directors approved a recommendation from the administration to complete renovations to the Mount Nittany Elementary School. The renovations included enclosing three small group instruction (SGI) spaces in the building. The spaces had originally been designed as breakout spaces in the hallway for students from one or multiple classrooms to meet outside of the classroom.

As the Mount Nittany Elementary School enrollment grew significantly and additional instructional space was needed for specialized services, those SGI spaces became an instrumental part of the available space in the building. The layout of the SGI's was not ideal for the instructional needs. Therefore, the Board of Directors approved this renovation project, which has assisted the staff in delivering the instructional program to a variety of students.
